Fry Pan, Iron, 330mm, NZ Made, Commercial Grade
This is a high quality NZ made fry pan manufactured from 2mm steel to a commercial cooking grade.
The generous 330mm bowl allows for cooking a heap of food at the same time and the extra long welded steel handle makes adding and removing the pans from the oven a lot easier.
The welded handle provides greater strength and durability (over bolted handles).
The steel handle means the whole pan can go into the oven (without melting or burning!).
It might sound a bit 'weird', but if you take the time to look after these pans you will just love cooking with them!
Why cook with iron instead of stainless? The benefits of using iron cooking equipment comes with its ability to easily absorb and hold high levels of heat. This means heat is distributed evenly across the cooking surface resulting in more even, balanced cooking. The thermal mass of these pans retains heat (like your oven!) making them ideal for use with wood fires.
If you haven't had an iron pan before, understand they are not like a non-stick pan. The steel needs 'seasoning' before use which involves oiling with vegetable oil then cooking in an oven for 60minutes. This starts the seasoning process and from there the pans get better and better with use. It can help to lightly oil after use. They are not suitable for cleaning in a dishwasher as this can reverse some of the seasoning and cause some surface rusting.

Smaller items are sent on Aramex or Posthaste Couriers which are normally 1-2 business days to deliver. Mainfreight deliveries are usually 2-3 days.

North Island: $10 Urban $15 for Rural per 25kg of weight.
South Island $15 Urban and $25 for Rural per 25kg of weight.
Orders over 100kg are shipped to Mainfreight depots for collection - pricing from $50.
