Pizza Peel, 270mm Square Head, NZ Made, Stainless Steel

You will be impressed with the quality of this New Zealand made stainless steel peel.  

Designed for lifting food items in and out of your oven, the head is a generous 270mm x 270mm square but not too large as to become awkward to use.

The handles are welded to the head rather than bolted to provide extra strength and longevity and the highly polished head means food items slide on and off a lot better.  

The handles are 670mm long and the total length is 945mm.  This is a great overall length as longer peels aren't required unless you have a massive commercial oven to reach into.  Longer peels can actually be a hazard to pedestrians behind the operator as the handle sticks out.

The square shape tends to be better with breads or less 'rounded' cooking items such as roasting dishes.  It is also better for moving an active fire around in the oven and for scraping ash off the floor prior to cooking.  The round version is better for picking up round pizzas and for cleaning your oven ash out as it can get right into the curved sides.  Having both shapes on hand is always better!
