High quality fire brick measuring 305 x 305 x 50 mm (+/- 1-2mm)

These are a real grunty fire brick weighing in at over 10kg each!   If you want thermal mass for your oven floor then this is the brick for you.  

With a massive 42% alumina content these fire bricks are suitable for a wide range of applications including fireplaces, pizza oven floors, Argentinian grills, BBQ's etc.

The high alumina content makes them more resilient to thermal shock (temperature change) which is important for DIY projects where they are likely to experience infrequent rapid heat up.

These high density refractory fire bricks are ideal for use as a floor in an oven or for walls and floor in a fire.  

Density is critical for an oven floor.   Fire bricks need to absorb heat from the fire then release it via convection into the food being cooked. 50mm thickness is an excellent amount of mass for your floor.  

If using the bricks in a fireplace they are excellent for protecting surrounds from direct flame contact and absorb heat energy to radiate it out of the fire and keep you warm.

These bricks are rated to handle up to 1730 degrees C (1400 under load).
